Oliver King is a story about the progression through adolescence for a young boy.  It begins during the 1980's from when he is born to his unwed parents and travels through his life, experiencing relationships, a lot of anger, it focuses on his issues with alcohol and drugs and also sends him through a time where he is homeless.  Oliver then finds himself in a relationship that is unbearable.  He kills his partner and looks for a way to escape.

There are a lot of deep and hurtful parts to this story so you must be advised to take caution when reading.

I would label this book 18 years and upwards for the sensitive nature of the book.
