The Hanging Tree

Jem Ashdown lives in the town of Salem. Crimes, organized or not, are a rare occasion for the town. But when they are commonplace enough, public hangings are the way to stop the criminal parade.
Joel Hopkins murdered his wife Annabel the winter before last. He is hung for his crime but not before saying he will find Jozelyn in death. As his head hangs a letter falls out of his pocket.
Jem seeing the letter grabs it and takes it home. Going on an adventure to find the hollowed ground where the bodies from Salem hanging lie Jem will be devastated and horrified.
