James. He thought he was loved. He thought that the only person he trusted anymore, after what happened with his grandfather and all, actually did love him. But, he found out in the worst of ways just how wrong he was. He thinks he can never be happy again.

Tristan. He was loved. He was loved by everyone. For no reason. When he finally found out why, he disappeared. He drifted away. He changed who he was and refused to change back. All four of these boys have had issues with love. They no longer trust. They can barely even feel. But they are all so different. That's why Lily sends them notebooks. And in these notebooks, they are to write what she tells them to write. They are to meet her in the abandoned music room once a week. And they are to stay there the entire hour after school. No complaints. No failing to do the assignment. They are to read these notebook entries aloud to the group. She participates too, but it's all about the boys. The club is all about the boys.
