Dan is known as 'Pastel boy' at his school, because he is obsessed with pastel coloured things. He always wears his pastel clothes matching his pastel-pink dyed hair.
Phil, on the other hand, is the opposite of Dan. Phil has tattoos, has piercings and has bad written all over him. Phil is considered the one at school your parents tell you to avoid. He is trouble.
But one day, Dan finds himself in a bad position once he gets to know Phil...

On the last day of school Dans friends invite him along to a summer camp so the three of them can enjoy the three months of summer vacation away from their small town. Dan agrees, mainly to get away from a particular bully, Phil Lester, who seems to be set out for him and only him until he realizes, Phil is at camp too.
