"Any guy would be lucky to have just one of them, and my selfish heart wants them both. Neither of them deserve that." Lincoln Warner has got everything going for him. He's 17, attractive, has an amazing girlfriend, Blair Greyson, and has been through hell and back. To top it off, he gets to go to Italy with his high school to study art. Things go even better when, on the trip, he meets the beautiful and intriguing Blaire Gold. The two instantly hit it off and become best friends. Lincoln, still loyal to his girlfriend back home, refuses to see Blaire as anything more than a friend. It isn't until after the trip that things go wrong. Lincoln soon realizes that his feelings for Blaire grow stronger every day. It's then that he finds himself forced to choose between the girl who makes him feel loved, and the girl who makes him feel like someone finally understands him- even the darkest parts. Blaire.

"Dear to us are those who love us but dearer are those who reject us as unworthy, for they add another life; they build a heaven before us whereof we had not dreamed, and thereby supply to us new powers out of the recesses of the spirit." - Ralph Waldo Emerson No one ever expects to be rejected. Nonetheless by someone you've never met. I didn't think that it would hurt this bad, especially since he is so cold-hearted and demeaning. I've looked forward all of my life for the moment that my mate would reach out in open arms claiming me as theirs, but no, in vile words that struck like lightning, he rejected me. To hear those words spoken from his mouth embraces endless sadness and despair that I can no longer bear. I long for him, and so does Aurora. He will show remorse for what he has done, I do not deserve this.... Will Blair ever be accepted as a mate... or will she wallow in pain?
