"Oh uh- Sorry but I'm not much of a drinker."
"Suit yerself." He takes a heavy swig from the wine.
Silence.
"So tell me," he asks. "How'd
you make it here?"
"Hm?"
"You seem pretty young to survive this storm alone. Tell me about it."
"Oh. Like how I made it this far?"
"Christ, you've got cotton in your ears? Yes, how you made it this far."
"Yeah, let me think. So..."

Content Warning-This story is meant for mature audiences. It features adult language, references, situations, sexual content, graphic violence, and gore. Fantasy, horror, and science fiction are my favorite genres to read. They are also my favorite to write. I've enjoyed writing since I won my first writing contest in the fourth grade. That was over twenty-five years ago and I haven't shared a sinlge word of it. Imposter syndrome is a bitch! Well, I finally managed to pull the trigger. Here is "O Negative". It's a mix of all of my favorite genres. I've mixed a fantasy, based on present-day Earth, with plenty of graphic horror and wrapped it all up within a world driven by the technological advancements that only can be obtained from millions of years of civilation. A small group of strangers find themselves surviving in a decimated world. It's bad enough to be stranded in a no-name town, but things become surreal when you realize the vast majority of humanity has died...it becomes terrifying when you realize you aren't that lucky to be alive. "Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.

Hunter Anther was like an open book, he'd never been afraid to be his true self. Especially his sexuality. However not everything is for everyone. Being born to the one of the largest pack to ever exist, he wasn't accepted. Everyone hated him and often bullied him, even his family. He'd hoped that after meeting his mate, regardless of gender he would finally find peace and happiness. But the moon goddess truly wasn't fond of him because in addition to being an outcast, he wasn't blessed with a wolf. What happens when his future Alpha, aka biggest bully and former friend turns out to be his mate. Will he accept and care for him or make him lose the last bit of hope he had? You left me, you are not gay." My voice trembled bit at the end but my face remained as emotionless as ever. I will never give him the satisfaction of seeing me vulnerable, not again. But why does my heart feel like it's bleeding? Shouldn't I be hating him and happy that he's on his knees begging me. #2 in Horror. /02.23.16/ I hear footsteps approaching me, pacing faster and faster making me look back quickly. I see a man in a black fabric mask wearing all black clothing. I widen my eyes beginning to run in the snow making my feet heavy. "Help! Somebody help me!" I scream in a cry looking around to find nobody on sight. "Help!" I scream trying to run faster hoping somebody would hear my cries. My throat became sore from the cold quickly making it harder to breathe freely. "Help me! Somebody!" I hear the tall figure run behind me feeling a grip on my hair. My white ski hat fell into the ground covered in snow. The man groans pulling my hair towards him making me collapse. "No, stop!" I scream struggling from his grasp, punching and kicking aimlessly. "Shhh." The man whispers into my ear grabbing onto my wrists starting to cuff them. "No!" I scream twisting and turning trying to bite the man's arm. The man doesn't say much. The only thing I hear is his heavy breathing. He starts to shackle my ankles together as I lay a full blown kick into his face making him groan in pain holding onto his nose on top of the mask. "Help me, somebody!" I keep yelling as he kicks me in the stomach and takes out a clothed bag from his coat pocket putting it on my head covering my face. He ties it up from the back tightly making my neck feel pressured. "Please." I whimper. "You don't have to do this." I cry admitting defeat. "Night, night." He chuckles hitting me behind the head making me loss consciousness. WARNING: Will contain very disturbing content. This book is not for individuals who are sensitive to these topics. Originally a backstory for a D&D Character that got just a little bit out of hand with length and detail, its now morphed itself into a full blown Novella. Its the most effort I have ever put into any creative project in my life. I hope you enjoy it! This is the story of a twenty year old human man, Mardston, as he takes his first steps along the path to becoming a true warrior. Trained as a blacksmith as a child by his adopted dwarven family, and then as a Mercenary Soldier as a young man. Happy where he was in life as a traveling sellsword, he had it all torn away when his first experience with a deadly battle, was a massacre that saw all 500 of his companions cut down in a manner of minutes. Walking away from the engagement by being judged by his enemies as the most mentally weak, and therefore chosen as the designated survivor to go tell the tale of what happens to those who intrude in their woods. Completely alone, with no purpose, no living friends, and no desire to work as the one thing he was trained to do. Mardston starts his journey to becoming a warrior at the bottom of a bottle. Where he is singled out for the most mundane of reasons by a strange young elven woman with unnatural abilities, who chooses him to accompany her on her journey. A journey where she begins the path to learning what it means to be a Hero to those who need saving, and where he stands fast and fights to protect her and keep her safe from all who wish her harm. While the two of them together venture forth to find their new places in a world that has no need of them as they were. - While editing, I noticed that I didn't describe Mardstons physical description well. Jamming it in now, results in awkward and clunky exposition. So I will just write it here even more awkwardly. Mardston stands at 6'2" tall, weighing in at 350 lbs. I can tell who its just by looking at their uniform. We all get given a unique uniform that is made for us. I carry on folding the washing whilst waiting for his reply. "We need you to come in." He replies nochantly. I smile and turn around flicking off his hood. "And what do I need to come in for? Brother." I ask, emphasising on brother. His face remains emotionless but his eyes betray him. They are filled with sadness, anger and betrayal. "You know why otherwise you wouldn't have let us find you." He replies. My smile widens. "You know me so well. I had my suspicions but I want to here it directly." I tell him. He growls at me, "They're back. Okay. My mind scrambling to process what had happened as I felt rubble falling around me, surrounding me in darkness. I reached up, my arm stinging as I hit the hard wood table over me, which was keeping the rubble off me, miraculously. I wiped my forehead, sweat, and probably blood dripping down my arm and side of head as I reached for a nearby rock, trying to push on it, hoping that it might help me out of this disaster. "Mom? Betty?" I called, hoping for a response, only to get none. I didn't even get the slightest whimper from any of them. What the heck happened? "Mom?! Betty?!" I screamed this time, trying to push myself up onto my back, my leg killing me so much that I had to give up. I laid back down on the ground, placing my hand on the bottom of the table; anger, fear, confusion getting the best of me. I screamed as I banged my fists on the wood table. "MOM? BETTY?" Nothing. I was ready to bang on the wood again, but I flinched back when I heard the sound of moving rubble. Whoever it is was almost near where I was, and ... moving quickly. So, there's no possible way that it was a human. It would take hundreds do men to lift these boulders, but whoever this person is, is stronger than anyone I would kn- My thoughts froze as I watched something large wrap around the edges of the table, lifting it up; my eyes widening as I came face to face with the largest creature known to mankind.
