I really did not think this would get this much attention, especially a good three-ish years after I wrote this! For those of you who are struggling with an eating disorder of any kind, just know that a healthy lifestyle is a happy lifestyle. And starving or purging is not healthy. If you have an eating disorder and haven't gotten the help you need, I highly recommend it before the effects become permanent.

Background: I have an older brother named Chris, and a younger sister named Reagan. My parents picked our names last minute because they didn't really care about what they were going to name us. My family lives in a huge house in Texas. My dad is a doctor and my mom is a lawyer so our family is pretty much rich. My parents rarely pay attention to any of us because they never wanted us. They give us money every month so that we won't have to bother them when we need money for something. I could probably be happy about that if my life was actually good and not a living hell. My brother is 23 years old so he doesn't live with us anymore. He's really smart and he's been at Yale since he was 19. He's majoring in music. My little sister is 15 years old and she's super friendly. She's also really smart, but she doesn't act like it because she doesn't want to be judged. Is weight what really matters in life? Maybe it is, maybe it's not. Maybe some people care about it more than others. Livia, 17-year-old girl gets to experience the real raw world. Friends, best friends, are suddenly making her conscious of her body. The comments are driving Livia to the deep end, suffering endlessly from the need to starve, to always be more beautiful.
