When Alanna stumbles upon a mysterious library in her closet, she is instantly enthralled. In her world, reading books is illegal, so finding a beautiful place to read as her mother taught her while she was alive is a true blessing to Alanna. But when her dreams begin to be troubling and she finds herself swept up in a strange chain of events that seems to lead only to her own death, Alanna begins to be suspicious of the library.
