Popular wasn't something Joe would consider himself, the only thing he could definitely identify himself as was madly in love with Jess. The only problem is she doesn't know it yet. Or does she? They have a whirlwind romance lasting only a month in total, but that was enough time for Joe to create his own downfall... Jess.
Suddenly something tragic happens and Joe doesn't know what to do with himself. On top of that Joe has two new problems. One: Evalyn Jones also called Eva. She is practically Jess's sister; she has autism, which makes it difficult for her to socialize. But her personality more than exceeds Joe's expectations. She becomes a guiding light for Joe through his struggles; a safe place even.
The second problem is the one that gets Joe into the most trouble: The mystery to be solved by the victims of it's destruction. Who did it? Why did they do it? And how did they do it? But along the way they unlock the secrets of a dark past.
How did he get exposed to these two new problems you might ask? Why the answer is simple really. It was all contained in a three paragraph, hand-written note. Written by Jess herself to be hand delivered by Evalyn.
