Allison's life was never great. Though she has an almost perfect record at school, she was still abused by her mother. One day during the summer, she decided it was time for her to leave home. In the middle of the night, she snuck out of her cottage and wandered into a dark forest. She hesitated going in and considered going back home. Her village believed that Giants lived out beyond the forest. They probably made that up to keep the younger kids from running into the forest, giants aren't real.. right?
