They keep the four elemental children in two groups of the prison for a reason. To keep each other at bay. Fire and water on the left side. Earth and air on the right. There's always a rebel in the prison, determined to escape, and they always fail. But one girl is determined to not just escape, but over throw all the C.D.E. prisons in the U.S.A.
