Do you ever stop for a moment just to take in everything around you? To take notice of the little things that you take for granted. Perhaps the way that your mother just knows what you want for dinner. Or the way that a person you have seen a few times smiles at you in recognition. Or even the way a stranger takes the time to greet you as you walk by them. Well, I didn't. I never noticed what my mother did, I just expected it. I never smiled back to that person, instead I looked on in confusion; wondering why this person I had never spoken to felt the need to look so happy at the sight of me. And I definitely never said hi to the stranger. If I'm being perfectly honest, I never did much at all. But now... Now I don't have choice. I can never do anything to acknowledge the little 'unimportant' actions people took despite my cold replies. I didn't do anything. And that, by far, is my greatest regret. Now I have a secret that no one knows. And it means that I have no one left to turn to. Nothing to lose.

"You don't love me, you can't love me." My body shakes uncontrollably as I fall to the ground, sobbing into my hands as I try to muffle the sound desperately. "Just let me love you, I can't love you if you won't allow me to idiot," a whisper echoes through the walls as he squats down next to me, placing his hand on my back, rubbing, small, reassuring circles. ... It was never supposed to be like this, why did I let this happen? Hyunjin and Y/n lived in the same neighborhood. The summer before high school started, Hyunjin and his friends matured and all the girls in school found them attractive.
