Rhodē belongs to a species able to control their energy levels down to the cell, giving them much power, but when resources are low and their planet is at its limit fighting between villages over resources breaks out. Leaders of these villages believe the only way to win these battles is to select the strongest of their youth to be trained to control their energy and take up arms. Many don't approve of this brutal practice but must submit to the system, especially if they have kids with some extraordinary abilities. After leaders from several villages realized nobody was winning with the further decline of their home planet, Plan B was set up to send several specially selected individuals to another planet. By the time word was getting out everything was already collapsing, calling for extreme measures on the leaders part. This story follows our main character, Rhodē, in discovering how to make her own home among people unlike herself, even after believing she'd lost everything.All Rights Reserved
