In a world of War, many people only see in pigment and shadow. Those who have met with their soulmates know through one way... They can see colour. They can view not just those of Monochromacy, but those of a rainbow.
Kiku had seen people around his town leave the grasp of Monochromacy. Even his friend Feliciano had grown to see colour... but as Kiku came of age to be drafted for the army, he was quickly swept up.
As he is put in the army, and surrounded by many others, what could happen when he encounters many people... and the next morning, a new hue pierces his vision?
