It's the year 2074. 48 years ago teenagers started wanting to find out what their inner self was, after finding out that they could have a so-called spirit animal. Technology developments have begun to tell us that, yes, everyone does have a specific animal that matches their personality. But the people that run these tests have come to find that there are only 19 animals that are considered, spirit animals, as they have been dubbed. Emelia is just about to turn 18, the age in which you find out what your animal pair is and your companion picks you. What happens when Emilia finds out she has not only one but two companions. Not only that, but she can also do something that should be impossible and is baffling doctors and scientists world wide. Needing to get away from the people treating her like a lab experiment, Emilia finds herself trusting a very powerful person. She can't help but think that she shouldn't trust him because he has no reason to help, yet finds herself doing exactly that.
