DISCLAIMER: I don't own Magic Kaito 1412 or any of it's characters they all belong to their respected owners. Oh there also might be some of Detective Conan characters and the same goes for them.

I'm sorry for anyone who hates the English names for the Detective Conan characters but I'm using if any of the characters pop up. By the way I know nothing about Japanese culture because I live in Ireland.

Kaito Kuroba is an ordinary high school student with an ordinary life, or so it seems. Kaito is actually the infamous Phantom Thief Kaitou Kid.

Kaito's dad died in an accident while practicing an illusion for his next magic show. One day Kaito finds out that his dad was actually killed by an organisation because he was looking for the Pandora stone, a jewel that is said to bring eternal life, to try and stop said organisation from seizing it's power. Kaito follows in his fathers footsteps to stop this organisation. But will he survive if they find him. Find out by reading.

Author's note 2022: My first fanfic that I wrote when I was 12 in 2016. Looking back at it now years later, the writing isn't the best but I'm still proud of it, and kind of shocked that I consistently wrote 1000+ word chapters considering the other stuff in my drafts from the same period. Thanks for the insane amount of reads and votes! I never expected this little spur of the moment fanfic would get much attention at all, and still occasionally have a mini heart attack whenever I see someone's added this to a reading list, so really thank you!

"Whoa, who is that?" "You don't know? That's the tiny giant's little brother!" "Dude for real? Wasn't the little giant short? He's not that short, how could they be related?" "Their jumping and game skills are practically the same, he's a blocker's nightmare!" "Are you sure they're related?" "Well, his name IS Udai, Yusei Udai. He might be adopted but I don't think so, they have similar features." "He goes to Anaguma, but I've never heard of that school. I'm surprised he didn't go to Karasuno like his brother." "Nah it makes sense, they are too weak for him to mesh well with them. Anaguma might be an underdog this year." "Yeah. Let's see how far Udai will take his brother's legacy." "It's not about his brother's legacy anymore, my friend. It's his story now." ~β€’~ The only people who knew Yusei's gender identity as a trans man were his teammates, parents and older brother. No one was sure what would happen if his gender identity got out since there weren't any rules for those types of situations in Japan yet. However, Anaguma was willing to take the risk. With him, they win. Without him, they lose. Instead of going to Karasuno like his brother had, Yusei Udai applied at Anaguma. He was accepted and joined the boy's volleyball team. With school starting, he is quick to make friends and establish that he is not his brother, he is even better. In fact, he couldn't care less about Tenma, in his eyes he's a disgrace after falling out of love with volleyball. Becoming a regular in the line up was not a problem for Yusei, and winning practice matches wasn't either. Because of his skill and his teamwork, Yusei takes them to nationals. Not only that, but the biggest upset since the word was invented occured as Anaguma won against one of the top ranked schools at Nationals. From then on, they are a threat and one that should not be taken lightly... However, will this powerhouse team stay together until the end?
