A day in the life of yours truly. Being a female feline isn't as easy as you may think. I just got back to Gotham and everything has changed. Croc's eating habits have gotten a little out of hand, Harley's hair is pink and blue, and the Joker lost his brows! And with Batman... let's discuss that another time. I'm still deciding if this new change in the city is good or not, we'll see.

I will write this diary in two point of views, but I'll signify when so that things don't get confusing. I'll write in first person for personal "diary" entries and then in a third person omniscient POV to show what she's doing and who she interacts with.

The Bat and the Jester
This is a realism-based story that takes place in modern 21st century Gotham City, a fictional city in an unnamed state along the eastern seaboard in what is assumed to be the United States. There are no meta-humans, or any other beings with any kind of super-powers, and all of the Bat's gizmos are based off of existing 2010 to 2020 technology. Bruce Wayne is a 27 year old man who struggles with being a CEO and a masked vigilante, Penguin is a typical, yet eccentric crime boss, Harleen Quinzel is having trouble dealing with what she was, compared to what the Joker turned her in to, and as for the Joker himself? He is, for lack of a better term: Bat-Shit crazy. This is my personal view of what might happen if a masked and armored vigilante began a crusade to clean up crime in a city the size of Boston or Manhattan. I tried to make the characters as real as possible, although I took a little poetic license and made the GCPD consider the Bat more of a nuisance rather than a wanted criminal, which while realistic would have created an entirely different story. something i'd love to publish one day. after some hefty editing tho aha. intercept: Felix found himself very invested in Alice's daily visits. He was spending extra time getting ready in the morning. He had only a few inches of light brown wavy hair on top of his head and very little on the sides, yet he was spending his mornings making sure it laid in the perfect spot and looked just messy enough to act like he didn't care. He was setting out his clothes at night so that his jeans wouldn't have wrinkles in them. He was brushing his teeth for double as long as he normally would. He even invested in some floss. When he would go downstairs to Mugz, he would make sure to put on the cleanest Mugz sweater he had. He started sweeping more. Especially around the time she would be in, if only to be out in the lobby with her instead of having to talk over the counter. Alice was the same as always. She was very good at not showing an effect that his words had on her if she didn't want to. Any time she would say something suggestive or bold, Felix would find himself blushing or stuttering, but on the rare occasion that Felix would try to be as bold, she would just grin and laugh. The Gotham Queen
This is my own personal version of how our lovable Dr. Harleen Quinzel fell in love with the psychopathic clown known as The Joker. This will be a dark story. I mean, it is about Joker and his story isn't a pretty one. There will be dark, mature themes in this book. It is not for the faint of heart. That being said, if you are not comfortable with this, then skip those parts. I will have them marked, and I will leave subtle hint, so you get the basic gist of what happened. REVISED 2026!!! I'm still working on finishing the story, but I've reworked all the continuity errors that I could find. Please re-read and let me know if it's any better. PLEASE COMMENT! I need some feedback! I can't spot every continuity error, so please point them out if noticed. Comment on any typos you see please. It starts out rough while I was still working Percy's character out, but in my opinion but I think it gets better. First 18 chapters done and published. I wrote this story for myself originally, so I wasn't worried about making it perfect. I just wanted a story like this I could read every now and then since I can't find any like it. I've reworked it a LOT to get it somewhat readable, but there's probably still plot holes. One minute, Percy was in the Labyrinth with Annabeth, Rachel, Grover, and Thalia, and the next, he's fighting Kronos. Then, a bright flash, and he's in the middle of the ocean. He finds out he's in a different world, and there's superheroes in it. He crosses paths with Wonder Woman, and she takes him under her wing. He gets an identity, a backstory, and a job, and that is where this story starts.
