"Sorry, I only look at you as a little sister. I mean come on, I'm your brother's best friend." Hurt. That's what I felt as he said that. He patted my head, gave me a pouty look, smiled and walked away.
Emma Caylen, 18, has recently moved in with her older brother, JC Caylen, and his best friend, Kian Lawley, ever since she has graduated high school so she would be able to pursue her career. It started out okay living with JC and Kian but after a while, it gets a little harder. At certain times, she stays home all by herself as the other are off on tour or she is always cleaning up after them. JC and Kian have been home for the longest time that they have been, and it is driving her nuts. JC ends up, going and away for a little bit, with a couple of his friends from back home, leaving Kian and Emma with the house to their selves. Spending so much time with Kian, has brought up some feelings towards him. Things get interesting.
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
