In the midst of a tragic home life, a girl learns she has special abilities that perhaps would make others deem her a mutant. She's kicked off to some freak school, and just when she thinks her life is about an inch from crumbling down on top of her, she meets someone. A boy. Nightcrawler, they call him. If there really was love at first sight, then that was what they had. Little did they know, this would turn out to be more than a back-to-school fling.
noteΒ» this story is set in present day but with the young mutants as displayed in apocalypse, who inspired my writing. also, I obviously do not own the x men as I've seen so many carefully make sure to make known

Unlike his peers, Kurt's obvious physical mutation was something he was both praised and tormented for. His past is riddled with suffering, but what happens when events force him to reveal himself and tell his story to his friends in order for them to help him heal. Do they understand what it really means to be considered a monster? (I really enjoyed the show Xmen Evolution, but I think there was a missed opportunity for them to delve into Nightcrawler's backstory. This is a slightly darker tone than the show, but how I would go about his origin. Kurt Wagner is a normal teenage boy, or at least normal for a circus acrobat. He loves to run, joke with his sister, Amanda, and read. He's a devout Catholic. There's just one tiny detail missing: he's blue. When his demonic looks get him in trouble, he ends up meeting Elizabeth, the broken girl with wings. She no longer believes in God, and if he's real, he doesn't love her. The worst possible circumstances turn them into unlikely friends, but as they grow closer, will their friendship become something more? This is a story about Nightcrawler's past, including how he met the Xmen. Finally, Kurt and Kerri have the chance to be together without anyone getting in the way! Or do they? Everything seems fine at first, but after a mission to save a child from a group calling themselves "the Push" they get a surprise. Kerri's not sure what to do about it, but she knows it's not fair to Kurt, so she hides it for the time being. Meanwhile, "the Push" is larger than they thought, only being the front for an extremely rich benefactor who has their hands in more than a few pies and is intent in getting their way. Only, the consequences of the benefactor's actions may have lasting effects on Kerri, and therefore Kurt, forever. Suddenly Kerri's gone and no one knows where she is. Kurt doesn't believe for a moment what Scott says about her running away to hide, but then, where is she, and who can find her? If the X-Men can manage to find Kerri and to get rid of the benefactor, will they be able to make it back to life as they knew it, or will it be changed forever?
