'She's so drunk' I thought to myself 'never letting her drink again' I held her by her shoulders and started taking her towards the car.
'Stop!, just stop!' She slurs
I stop and look at her, her face
She's looking at me with such intensity I cannot describe
'I hate you..I hate you so much!' She slurs, tears coming out of her eyes
I look at her with shock evident in my eyes
'I hate that you're with her, I hate seeing you both together!' She says, tears pouring at a faster rate now
I don't know what to say so I just look at her waiting for some explanation
'I love you Nate! I love you!' She says
And suddenly, she crashes her lips with mine.
I can smell the alcohol in breath but cannot help and kiss her back, she keeps kissing me and we both part only when we're out of breath
She looks at me and says 'Why do you do this to me Nate? Why?...' She sobs
I cannot help but rethink what just happened between us.
Why did I kiss her back? I love Anna. I keep asking myself.
She starts to walk away, towards my car.
'Open the car' she says
I quickly get in and drive to drop her off.

I also just love books where not everything is sped through and you really get to know the characters and their habits.
