Taylor Swift
I clenched the cold, metal, silver armrests of the chair. My heart was thumping louder than the sound of a thousand horses hooves during a stampede. My eyes were burning. Lumps were forming in my throat. I was doing my absolute best not to break down and start crying. My hands were shaking. My teeth were chattering. I took a deep breath with an effort to calm myself down. The pungent clean hospital aroma entered my nose. My hands wrapped around my legs, and I curled up into a small ball. I did the only thing I could. I took long deep breaths. I hoped and prayed. "God, please make my parents be okay, I'll do anything." I couldn't help the tears that came rolling out of my eyes after that. It was hard to believe that I had no control over this situation. I had no control over my parents' survival. The only thing I could do was hope. Only a few hours ago, we were the ideal perfect family, eating breakfast around our round table. We were happy, I wold give anything to turn back time, to go back to that beautiful time. Now, every time I saw a family rejoice or welcome a new baby, I would get jealous. I wanted to feel my mother's touch, to hear my fathers laugh. We were sitting in our minivan, going to the county fair. My mother was in the front seat, my dad was driving. I was sitting in the back. Taylor Swift's "Never Grow Up" played through the car's speakers. My mother was telling stories of when I was young. My father was telling jokes. We were laughing, smiling, carefree. We were blind to the fact that the driver behind us would take all of that joy away in the next moment. He swerved left to right. He sped up and smashed against the side of our van. Shattered glass flew everywhere, scraping my legs. My mother yelled, "Honey, are you.." She abruptly paused. "MOM," I screamed. No answer. "DAD,"I yelled. No answer. My mother's eyes were closed. My father's eyes were lifeless staring straight ahead. I shook them. "MOM, DAD, SAY SOMETHING, I LOVE YOU!" No answer.

  • Lets Just Say..... I Was Not Expecting This

This story is y/n (you) falls in love with a football player (an oc of mine). More info: Y/N is a 16 going on 17 year old female, in her Junior year of high school. It's her first day at a new school, a random person Airdropped her something and they begin to chat. This mystery guy is 17 and also his Junior year and is a football player. She knows nothing about him so she's determined to learn more. What she finds out shocks her completely. Preview: "Y/n! Come on let's go!" "Yeah! You are going to make us late!" "God! I'm coming I'm coming! I just needed to grab something." I said walking out to them. "Is that a book?" "Yeah- I really need to know what happens! I'm almost done with it, once I finish I'll watch the game don't worry." I assured the two of them. "Okay want ever you say." We left to go to the game finding a close-to-the-front seat. The three of us sat, we already bought some drinks and snacks. The game soon started and I began to read. "Player down!" Someone yelled as they ran a crossed the field. My head snapped up to get a look and I saw number 22 sitting up with one leg bent and the other laying on the ground. He seamed calm. "Alright, let's get you up," some one said kneeing next to number 22. "No no, I'm fine. Help them, they may be out, he is not responding to me." 22 insisted. Once the others heard this they ran to the other person, 85 from the other team. 22 glanced at the bleachers, briefly making eye contact with me, he then quickly looked back, almost as if doing a double take. He held the eye contact this time, I gave him a small smile and he gave me a sweet smile. "He smiled at you!" "It was just a smile," I said going back to my book. "You have a crush." "You definitely do, but we won't say anything, yet." I rolled my eyes at both of them. They were right, no, maybe. He was cute, the way his hair fell, and how he put the other player before himself. I thought it was cute.
