Normal. Simple. That's how Hazel-Pearl would describe herself being able to blend into the crowd isn't easy but she manages to do it. There is no attention left over for Hazel-Pearl, apart from the attention that no one wants. Her "Mom" is a mere nothing and her dad isn't here any more to protect his princess like he used to. And she went missing a year ago on Hazel-Pearl's birthday, so a year later Hazel-Pearl goes out in a search for her, but something blue stands in her way. Falling into the darkness, blue could help her but its not socially acceptable but will they bend the rules to become something worth the world, or blend into the social class they are allowed to be? Either Hazel-Pearl knows she has a mission that she must complete, even if it means she gets hurt, so pushing blue away will she find her?
With her feeling pushed to bay will she be able to find the past and her- well bringing back the past? Or will Hazel-Pearl go for a new start and life - with out getting hurt?
Either way will she care?

Though he's not bothered by her, he's fascinated with her. The family represents the structure and rules that Carmen doesn't, nor wants to, understand. But as Carmin starts to push back at the structure and rules suddenly rushed into her life, it starts to change. Her whole way of living is thrown off balance, what she deems normal isn't. And through a series of events, she starts to spiral out of control, and she doesn't know if someone can pull her up from that. Carmen was given a second chance, but is it a good chance, or is it just another recipe for getting thrown right back to square one, like she always is? Kidnaps 14 year old Hazel when he's on his way to visit the Uncle. But honestly it's mostly about Hazel being aware that he's being slowly stockholmed and trying to resist it. Tahdah.
