Grace Carstairs is Jem's twin sister and she too has a terrible curse that the demon who killed her parents, Yanluo, gave her. She is haunted by those couple of days in the Shanghai institute and tortured by the after effects that even Jem can't help her with. As much as he tries, nothing will stop the horrible curse that tortures his sister. This is a story of how the Carstairs twins fight for their lives whilst holding onto the people they love and the lives they used to have. This is Grace's side to Tessa's story.
