Seren wants nothing more than to finish college apps, finals, and paying off her car so she can enjoy her summer vacation before she leaves Newport for college and doesn't look back.
Zekariah envisions his move to Newport as a way to start over- a new name, new identity, playing guitar and getting a halfway decent band together- but he slowly realizes this year will be nothing more than staying an outlier and playing guitar mostly by himself.
When the two meet, they don't expect to fall as hard as they do. Besides, she's leaving as soon as a dorm room opens up, and he has big plans if his music career gets off the ground.
