COMPLETED, IN THE PROCESS OF EDITING To our creators, it was a simple plan. They would send us in, wait for us to take out the Prime Order Director, and then make sure we were never heard from again. By killing us, they would become heroes, and the world would see what we were capable of. People would see that the future was in Paragons like us. But they didn't realize just how powerful we were. They didn't count on us turning on them. Now the Prime Order wants to hide us from the world. They want us to forget who we are and what we can do. They think they can succeed in controlling us, but they won't. Our creators will come for us, but when they do, we'll be ready. They may have their machines and their weapons, but we have each other. And we have our powers. We are Paragons. We are Skyfall. I WROTE THIS 2 YEARS AGO AND MY WRITING STYLE HAS CHANGED A LOT SINCE THEN. THE ONLY REASON I HAVEN'T TAKEN THIS DOWN IS SENTIMENTALITY. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sophia Dawn is a nerd that is bullied on a daily basis until she starts hanging out with 4 other social outcasts. When her invention at the science fair gets sabotaged and explodes, all five of them, herself, Liz Thorn, Jake Light, Mike Sharp and Charlie King gain superpowers. ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~- I am Greek, so if you notice any grammatical or vocabulary mistakes, please don't be rude about it! Just tell me in the comments and I will correct them. Also, this is the first story I publish and I know it is lame, but I do it for the experience. I know it is horrible and everything goes really fast and slow at the same time and there are plot-holes and so many other damn things that I can't count at the moment... Anyway. I hope you won't be too harsh, as I told you I am here for the experience and harsh comments are bound to exist. I can't prevent you from posting them, just please make them as little hurtful as possible, not only for me, but also for yourselves. I really hate blocking people. And if the rude comments are too much I will delete and never post again. Not threatening, just warning. Thank you for your time!!! Also, I am not trying to show JUST the action behind the masks, but also, mainly, the struggle when balancing a life like this. Apart from that, I want to make it kind of dramatic. ;)Complete
Between Ties
"Don't go inside! Stay!" She said, holding her hand up to show me her palm and then I leaned over the balcony, resting my forearms on the railing to hold me up. I rolled my eyes as I exhaled deeply. Apparently I was a dog now. But fuck, It's her! What are the fucking chances. It feels like I'm in one of those Wattpad novels that Beth always reads. She quickly rushed inside and opened her blinds so that I could see right into her apartment. I watched her rush over to her stereo to lower the volume and then she came rushing back out, out of breath. "Did you get my note?" She asked and then I nodded, trying to force back a smile remembering her cute handwriting, in fact her little note was in the pocket of my sweatpants at this very moment, And so was her 100 dollar bill that she had given me, "I did!" I said as I watched her try to brush her hair out of her face "look, the money that you gave me. I don't want it. I appreciate it but it's too much! I need to give it back!" I said and then she shook her head trying to reject what I was saying. "No, it's yours I gave it to you!" She seemed upset and a little sad that I wanted to give her money back. "Hey, come on. This is a sign from whatever forces are at work here, what are the chances that you would be living right across from me!? This is fucking crazy, I can't accept the money and the universe is giving me a chance to return it." I said shrugging as she waved me off and then smiled sweetly as she breathed in for a moment just looking at me with softness. THIS BOOK IS A BLEND OF TEENAGE DRAMA REALISM AND FANTASY - ROMANCE. His Secrets And Lies (Bwwm)
The banging starts again but this time a lot louder. I can hear the girls screaming up stairs. I pick up my phone and dial 911. "Hello this is 911 what's your emergency?" "There are a bunch of wolves outside my house. I think they have rabies or something I'm not sure." The banging gets louder and I can feel my face getting wet from the tears. "Mamm did you say wolves are there?" "Yes Yes there are wolves about 10 of them out here in my front yard. I need help!" I hang up the phone and sit on the end of the stair case. I close my eyes and start praying. Something I haven't done in a while. "I have faith, there is a god. I have faith, there is a god, I have faith, there is a god." I repeat over and over. The glass breaks and I start screaming. I stand up and try to scramble up the stairs. The door comes falling down and there are about 10 wolves standing in front of my door. A woman emerges and walks toward me. She snaps her fingers and the pretty brown wolf is in front of me. Right there by my face. "Ridanna you know what to do." Her teeth is wrapped around my neck and she sinks them in. I try to scream but it's hard to. At first it hurts but now the pain no longer exists. At first I thought I'd pick something a bit out of my comfort zone (so.... NOT SciFi for once...) to expand my horizon, but when I saw a prompt about time travel I was immediately inspired. Please keep in mind, all of this is WIP! The title, cover, and some of the content might change at any time... I have an outline and I worked hard to come up with a compelling and consistent story line, but due to the nature of the story (timey whimey stuff!) I might have to revise things a few times as I write. I'm grateful for any feedback and I hope you enjoy :)Complete
Lunar Virus ✔️
Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258!
