When Talon and his family are on a routine trip through hyperspace on a small inergalactic mail carrier vessel with only a few other passengers, things go wrong.  They exit hyperspace at an unknown location where the only available planet is an icy world with no atmosphere to speak of.  The ship is beyond repair as is their means of communicating with the rest of the galaxy. Things look hopeless.  Their supplies are limited and not meant for colonization of a new planet.  The ship holds a lot of mailed packages that it is carrying, buy they are unsure what they randomly hold.  Only their own imagination and ingenuity can save them. Then one day Jan knocks on her door, yet this was not her boss she knew. This was a man with deep understanding of space and wormholes and her. He extends his hand for a travel through time and space, assuring nothing but an experience of her deepest wish, galactic travel through the worm holes. But once on the planet between the two Sirius es, Ira realises this Jan was a shape shifter, she does not recognise him or know if he was the same man from her work. She however knows an earthly being like her would never survive there. As Jan reveals himself as the Prime Advisor of the planet, ruthless about everything but the survival of the planet and its people, he chains her literally to his side. In her mind comes the warning he will literally absorb her life and then discard her is a barren space. Desperate she tries to jump into the worm hole only to realise that the twin stars created a mirage worm hole had pushed her further into the abyss of nothingness where not even one star was in sight. Prologue: Earth has found out they're not alone in the universe. An alien species have contacted Earth, giving them a chance to be protected by the aliens out there that threatens the universe. They inform them that there are in fact thousands of alien species out there. The alien race, who calls themselves Opsidians, offer Earth a chance at competing in the Games, a televised reality competition game they host. In order to win the protection, Earth will have to send a tribute to the Games. They know little to nothing about the Games or these alien species. But after consideration, they don't see the harm in sending one. And realise it might be their only chance.

A select few people with special abilities called gifts were chosen to see if life on a small planet just outside of Mars was habitable. Survivable. But the ship he was on overshot and crashlanded on Nexanveer. A moon just out the far side of Jupiter. Now he and the few other who have woken up must work together to survive and get off of this planet. Or live here. There was more people, there's someone, or something else, on this moon, this planet. And it wants them gone, or dead. Either way it's obvious Rhent and his group aren't welcome here. And they all have to use their gifts to survive and work together. If only Rhent remembered his gift, and if only they all worked together. If only they could get off Nexanveer. But the harder they fight, and the further they go it seems, they'll never get out alive.
