Nikita is back in Los Angeles, and is hating it. On her first night back she meets her ex-boyfriend Doyle who happens to be a demon, and his boss Angel, a vampire with a soul, in an alley. Leaving them she heads back to her sisters apartment where she is attacked, beaten and tried to rape by a vampire until Doyle and Angel rescue her.
