Octavia Springs is color-blind.
She never sees any real colors in her life, and she often felt jealousy and anger when her friends and other peers can.
But it all changes when she turns thirteen years old.
After a risky surgery, Octavia is finally given the gift she wanted her whole life... color.
Suddenly, Octavia's world becomes brighter. She feels the happiest she ever felt in her whole life. Everything is perfect.
But when her healthy, happy twin sister Jennifer is hurt in an accident, all the color is gone from her life. Jennifer becomes completely blind, and Octavia is devastated, knowing nothing can give Jennifer her vision back.
