Gerard Way is a deaf teenager from Belleville, New Jersey. While he works on getting through school, he finds himself stuck with a new sign language translator named Frank Iero. Gerard likes Frank a lot, and subconsciously works to try and impress him. As their relationship grows, Gerard comes closer to finding a secret that he knows Frank is hiding from him. Will he ever find out what it is? (IMPORTANT NOTICE: I would just like to point out that this story may be a little inaccurate. I myself am not deaf and don't particularly know any deaf people, so I am unaware as to whether certain words or anything else are actually in sign language. Also, I must stress that EVERYTHING in this story that is in speech marks is in fact signed, not spoken. If anything is spoken, it will be written as though Gerard does not know what is being said. Frank is twenty eight: he's mentally stable for the most part, and well nobody has to know about pills he takes twice a day, do they? He's normal now, he's a person now, he's a fucking adult with an office job and he fucking hates it and that's fine, because he got out of the mental hospital three years ago, and these past three years of mundane nothingness have been the best three years of his life. Ten years ago, or so, Frank was in love with a boy called Gerard with fiery red hair and the personality of a switchblade knife, and ten years ago that boy called Gerard had killed himself. Frank still saw him though: hallucinations, as he knew them to be now, and it took him years in a hospital he never thought he'd get out of to convince himself of his newfound sanity, but he was okay now. Twenty eight year old Frank Iero had been officially 'okay' since he was twenty five. He hadn't seen Gerard again, and he didn't even think about the guy - he was just normal, and he was almost painfully content with being the secretary to someone with a five figure salary. Though, he has a bit of an edgy attitude most people learn to respect. There's more to Gerard than what the outside shows. His brother Mikey and best friend Ray know glimpses of how he really feels, and how complications from the past really fuck with his behavior. But, their differences don't keep them apart considering these strangers are forced into each other's lives when Gerard finds Frank attempting to commit suicide. Can Gerard help Frank without revealing his own problems and emotions or will they become too much to bare? *Trigger warning *Still editing mistakes( I'm fully aware my grammar sucks) *also warning this is terribly written.
