Tate Irvine's life is a mess. The recent suicide of Lucy Haynes has broken him and now he doesn't know what to do with his life.  Depression starts to kick in and Tate finds himself in a state which he thinks suicide is his only way out. But when a nine year old girl says she can connect to Lucy, he becomes addicted to the thought and slowly becomes involved in a whole other world that he doesn't belong to.
