He is probably one of the few people she knows who can match her fortune. Growing up these two were inseperable, but when Halee moves to New Port Beach, and James moves to LA the only choice they have is to keep their friendship alive through phone calls, occasional visits, and text messages. Now Halee and James discover their dead grandparents have a plan neither one of them ever considered. Following through with this plan will lead Halee and James down a very uncharted path when it comes to being best friends. While Halee deals with personal struggles she needs a self assured James to lean on.

The idea of this story has hit me square to the face when I watched one of my favorite novellas on television. Leslie Garcia has been a sweet little 9 year old girl and then her world is crushed when she finds out she suddenly has cancer. Everyone is worried and they are doing the best she can but just doesn't want it. Finally, a chance to see her dad again. She hasn't really been scared of death though sometimes it frightens her with curiosity about after life. Alex, her best friend, have known each other for a long time and he feels very protective over her like taking care of her, checking in on times, and keeping her away from the idiots at school who keep calling her names. Ashley, Leslie's older sister, has been crushed by the news and does not know what to do anymore. She is the one left taking care of Leslie but all she can do is cry and try not to let her think of death or any of that sort.Complete
