Three days before her birthday, Princess Honest finds her nurse, Bertha, stabbed underneath a grove of plum trees. Set on avenging Bertha's murder, Honest teams up with her childhood friend, two sires with conflicting personalities, and a blonde assassin with a very pretty mouth to find Bertha's killer.
Alternately, a story about a dark-skinned, blue-brown eyed girl; a cold Queen with hair the color of red sand; two brothers with their own secrets to keep; and in between all of that, sword fights and fires, lost friends and new companions.
