Arden is cursed. If she's ever exposed to the full moon and allowed to awaken her inner wolf, she will trigger the end of werewolf kind. While the rest of her pack is out embracing their wolf side and finding their mates, she's trapped inside, subjected to painful experimental treatments break her curse before it breaks everyone else.

There's only one thing her pack feared more than her curse: the Cavedwellers. Impossibly strong and mutated into monsters that can barely be called wolves, they lurk in tunnels beneath Echo Peak, terrorizing anyone who wanders too far from town. Arden never thought much about them, until the day they invaded her town and snatched her away.

Trapped in the tunnels under Echo Peak, Arden comes face to face with Alpha Kai, leader of the Cavedwellers. He's ferocious, temperamental, and obsessed awakening her wolf side. He claims that he is her predestined mate and that she won't see it until she shifts; she fears he only wants to activate the curse for whatever evil, twisted reason. But the longer she stays with the Cavedwellers and the more secrets she uncovers about her old pack, the less she knows who to trust.
