Do you remember that assignment in kindergarten when you're supposed to write a letter to your future self? There is one girl who decided to continue it until high school freshman year. 

Well in this emotional rollercoaster of a story, you will set sail on this journey with a young, timid, innocent, and intelligent, Avaline Fraser.  Avaline has experienced the heartbreak in losing her father, which resulted in her losing herself and her mother emotionally.  After she graduated she took the chance to leave her substance-abusing mother behind to go live with her auntie's family for a year. Then she got a life-altering phone call to attend school hers and father's dream. But what happens when a new roommate who not only made it a goal to make you accomplish your past dreams even if it means breaking some rules and maybe even fall in love.

How can that happen when you're not even sure you love yourself?
Would she stop following the books and live a little?
Would she look back and achieve her goals?
Would she finally change her motives?
With everything she had to face, would she be able to stop running from her past and finally embrace who she is and was meant to be?
