This poem is something I wrote for my friend Nyree VanCamp who died November 29th 2011. It was hard on all of her friends and mostly on her family. I'm still grieving over it and cannot stop the tears from falling. I'm trying to be strong for her, but I also wanted her to know that shes still in my heart and thoughts. That night a beautiful 14 year old girl lost her life. I love you Nyree, you were one of my best friends. I'll miss you in sixth hour....

When the World Leaves You Behind isn't here to sugarcoat the truth-it's here to rip the blindfold off. This book is for the ones who have felt abandoned, who have learned the hard way that life doesn't play fair. It's a raw and unfiltered exploration of the realities we all face but rarely talk about. Through a mix of essays, reflections, and poetry, this book will take you deep into the truths that shape us: love that isn't enough, loneliness that teaches, pain that transforms, and the undeniable fact that the world owes us nothing. This isn't a self-help guide-it's a wake-up call. Some pages will comfort you, others will wreck you, but all of them will make you feel.
