You know, those things that only powerful people can make up? Yeah. Those. They were the beginning of everything that ever went wrong in my life, but also the thing that led me to the end. Although, I didn't know that at the time, so a few bruises and kisses down the line, I found myself faced with a big problem. I had to choose between three people, all of whom had been lying about everything for months. That wasn't an easy task for someone like me, but the biggest issue? 5 years ago, I lost my best friend. All because he confessed his feelings for me and I over thought things. I was left on my own only to realize too late that the feelings were mutual. I always believed that my group of friends were resilient enough to withstand anything. But then that day happened and I watched it helplessly crumble. I wasn't aware it had to crumble to build itself back up again. It was a painful process But I learned so much, I overcame so much. Thomas needed a vacation, but that didn't mean he wanted one. His best friend convinced him to come down to his family's beach house for the summer to unwind, to relax for once. Thomas wasn't swayed easily, but he found himself on a flight to Florida regardless, albeit begrudgingly. Thomas intended to mope around for the three months, drink away his problems, and maybe get a tan in the process. However, his plans were thwarted when an unwanted houseguest from his past arrived the day after his getting there, leaving a bitter tang on the entire "vacation." Not to mention, Thomas was forced to share what he thought was his room with his best friend's wife's ridiculously handsome brother, Dallas. Thomas was on the cusp of drowning in the first week.
