This story takes place in an institute referred to as "The Enigma Cooperation" facility, aka, the "E.C." facility. We go with a young man named Theo with a troubled past causing his small town to reject him, but he is accepted only by the E.C. While there he finds out the terrible truth behind the facility. Even as he reflects on his past, he must stop the chain of events that could put a high risk to humanity's safety.

Authors Note: This book is short for a reason.

"Ian." Mother's sweet voice called out to me. "Ian?" She called again. I opened my eyes. I could hear the warming sound of her voice. I knew she wasn't there. It was all just a hallucination. She died a long time ago, or at least that's what I was told. The ones I held so dear, we're slowly, but surely drifting from me. Ian, a 17 year old boy, is lost in thought after another dear someone is taken from him. Experiments is what make up this Utopia and one is yet to know what truly goes on in Efthalia. Secrets and lies builds on this country and Ian is yet to find that who killed his father is who wants to kill him. As he unravels secrets in his own hallucination, Ian awakes as the lost sorcerer. The sorcerer who will take back humanity for what it once was. To live in a society not perfect, but happy. For happy is not perfect. For surely this is one adventure he will never forget. ~Pessimism~

I entered this short story into a contest, and sadly I lost, so I decided to do something with it. This story has to do with, not a zombie apocalypse, but an alien apocalypse. It is centered around a young girl searching for her partner as she is enetered herself in a training facility that teaches men and women to fight against the aliens who have taken over.
