All of these words describe Elisia. She doesn't fit in with any group at her school. The populars' would never stoop to her level, the deaf kids won't take her, not even the nerds will touch her, and the 'outcasts' won't take her and they'll take ANYONE. But Elisia is an exception to that rule.
She sticks with the deaf kids even though one day they're bound to kick her out. Elisia feels as though she's destined to be alone, sentenced to an eternal solitary life of silence. Then he comes along.
