The House At The End Of Yellow Brooke Street
An eerie silence echoed through the house at the end of Yellow Brooke Street, the wind outside slammed toward the wooden walls making a whistle inside the house from the cracked windows; the front door made a thud each time it slammed toward the wall and the screams from the dead gave the house an uneasiness to it. I stood before the house, while my friends were excited to do the exact opposite of what our parents told us to; I was not. I trusted my mother when she told us to never get close to this place. "You guys ready?" Diana said with joy in her voice, I stuttered. "No.." the fear in my voice was obvious, though no one seemed to care. Dan glanced at me and chuckled. "Really? It's just a house." There was a story my grandmother used to tell me about the woods outside my house. She said that there were monsters Lurking deep in the shadows that watched and waited for children to enter so they could gobble them up. I knew that she said it to scare me out of the woods. Only problem is that it didn't work. The deep dark Forrest called to me like no other. It was like that is where I belonged not out on the streets playing kick ball like all the other kids. I was supposed to be running through the trees feeling the wind rush past me. This is the story of how I discovered that the monsters lurking in the Forrest were real.
