Lacy Juniper isn't necessarily normal. No, not because she's a werewolf, undead, or part squirrel. See in Lacy's world everyone has some form of magic- ranging from being able to change your eye color to being able to control different elements. In first grade everyone gets a clock and when your clock hits zero you find out what kind of ability- as they call it- you have. This typically happens around 5th, 6th grade but Lacy's in seventh grade and her clock's still ticking- even after her twin brother, Jordan's, has already stopped. Yet as nightmares, projects, and test start piling up Lacy finds something odd to put in her already hectic schedule.
The question is does this make Lacy lame, different, or special? Now that is up to you.
