Lucy Valentine's father dies of old age and leaves her as the heiress to the family's fortunes, regardless that she is under the age of eighteen and that she has an older brother. Knowing that there'd be many of his greedy relatives willing to scandal his innocent daughter, he whispers one word to her before he dies: Ambrosios. It's not until her father's will is read that she understands that in order to rightfully claim the position her father intended her to claim, she must grow a back bone with a little help of a demon named Ambrosios.

"You were set to marry my father's heir. My oldest brother," She picks up a cup, "Due to unforeseen circumstances, he has died. As second oldest, it is my duty to fulfill my father's wishes." I'm still utterly confused. She takes a sip, "You will marry me." Ruth Foster was ordinary, or so that's what she always believed. Her story wasn't anything special. Dead Mother. Dead Father. Dead Uncle. Ruth hasn't expected much from life, only disappointments, and tragedy. She had no clue how right she was, until abducted by none other than a psychopathic woman, one who kills just because she can, and who goes by the name Orion King. Ruth is forced with two choices. Either marry Orion, or face death.
