It's late 1959 After the first few black children have graduated from a previously all-white school, Rosemary's parents think it would be a good opportunity to send her and her little sister, Leela, to a high school as black kids. Rosemary doesn't like the idea, especially when her parents are killed by anti-segregationists after their plan spread. With no-one to help them, Rosemary and her sister are forced to live with a young white couple and their 3 kids. Rosemary hates this, she is unwillingly put in an all-white high school where bullying and hatred hit her with an impact. But Adam's there to look out for her.
