Alyssa is a product of the Society; the only city left on what remains of Planet Earth. She has spent the first sixteen years of her life learning, training, and conditioning herself for life inside of a city based on perfection. Only the best stay in, and the rest get out. Her life has been nothing more than a competition to see who will get the coveted spots as a citizen of this perfect world. Failure means expulsion from the city walls, and death in the vast nothingness that makes up the rest of the planet.

With citizenship finally within her grasp, Alyssa finds herself ensnared within the scheme of a rebel resistance, learning and seeing things that she was never supposed to know. Threatened with expulsion, she'll do anything to have the slate wiped clean, so the Society offers her a single chance at redemption.

Now, she must find the rebels, the few survivors that managed to make a life outside of the Society, and bring them back for rehabilitation before they can start a revolution. But the resistance is nothing like she could have ever expected; and piece by piece, the world begins to come crumbling down.

In a dystopian world where society has long since evolved to perfection, those born are given an examination test to see if they pass the biological and innate requirements for living in the perfect society. Those who fail are luckily given a second chance to prove themselves, where they are allowed to be raised in dorms that are ostracized from the rest of society. They have eighteen years as they live with six other girls, separated into dorms and ages and gender. Kenna is sixteen, two more years from becoming eighteen where she will be retested to see if she can go back to living into the perfect society and find her place once again. Although her best friend, Lina, has mysteriously betrayed her for unknown reasons, where she is sent away to the Adjustment Center, a place that seems doomed for failure where everyone who has broken the rules are casted out to... PS: I wrote this five years ago (it is complete) and it's unedited so it may be written badly! Pandora Wallace, along with her twin Adam, is born into the iniquitous British society of 2035. This story follows the first 18 years of Pandora's blighted life. In 2015 the British government start micro-chipping babies, at birth, and then spend 14 years also chipping all of the adult population. In 2030 they abolish cash completely and all transactions have to be carried out via a human's on-board chip. This microchip is inserted into the heart wall of all acceptably healthy babies at the moment of their birth; the heart muscles powers the chip by recharging the battery. A second microdot 'PIN' is inserted at a random point in the baby's body. Should this 'PIN' become separated from the heart chip by any distance it causes the heart microchip to explode. The government is able to electronically disable or suspend the operation of anyone's chip at their whim, leaving the owner reliant upon the charity of others, or dead. Pandora is born with a minor gene defect which precludes her from being 'chipped'. Following a family crisis, at 14 years old, she is forced out on the streets to join the vast numbers of 'non-chips' who have to rely upon charity and slave labour to survive, not being allowed to work legally or earn money. Pandora finally goes to work for the underworld, determined to claw her way to the top and acquire an illegal microchip. She becomes a messenger at first and then her virginity is auctioned off by her boss. She becomes a high-class prostitute, a bodyguard and tangles with both a psychopathic killer and a government department determined to kill her and her boss. Books 2, 3, 4 & 5r continue to tell Pandora's story, together with that of the ill-conceived Chip & PIN system.
