David Banner is a young med student, attending school, working hard... and not much else. His closest friend, is a professor. His idea of an activity, is working on his latest assignment. He's a busy young man.
Elaina Marks is bright. She's eager, and just enrolled. She's also friendly, and easy on the eyes. Why shouldn't he get to know her?
All seems well, at first. They've each got a dear new friend, and are growing together, emotionally and intellectually. Then the letters come. The phone rings on, never ending. Elaina starts to feel uneasy, voicing cryptic concerns to David, before disappearing altogether.
