The man held a knife up to Yui's throat. "Drop the gun or we'll kill the girl. Do you want that to happen....do you want the girl to die?" 
"Don't worry I won't let them hurt you. You just have to trust me on this okay? This will all be over soon then we can go home." Hotaru smiled while pointing the gun at the man.
"You see that he doesn't care about you at all, if he did then he wouldn't be pointing the gun at me. He's going to let you die that way he doesn't have to worry about taking care of you anymore." He whispered in her ear. "After all no one wants to look after a girl who's being chased by the-."
Before the man could finish talking Hotaru pulled the trigger and shot him in the head.
"Don't listen to him. If I didn't care then I wouldn't be here right now. Now let's head back, I made us dinner and I really want you to try it." Hotaru grabbed Yui's hand and started heading home.
