A seventeen year old girl named Beth ends up in an unfortunate event that results to her death. She goes to the underworld where she meets a sixteen year old girl named Melanie.

"Why? I need to call my family and friends and tell them I'm okay. And why would I go with a stranger?" I asked.
"It's complicated. Just come with me," She insisted.
"What's your name?" I asked.
"Melanie," She answered. "And you?"
"Beth," I replied.
"Well Beth, you want to know why we can't go back?" Melanie asked.
"Yeah," I said slowly.
"It's because we're dead."
