Tides of Fire and Song
The ocean is dying. Its once-harmonious song has turned into a discordant cry, the balance between life and destruction unraveling with each passing tide. Felix, a mermaid with a rare gift, can hear the ocean's pain-but he is powerless to heal it alone. Hyunjin, a siren born without the lethal voice of his kin, has spent his life as an outcast, caught between power and vulnerability. When fate draws them together, their voices entwine in an ancient melody, one that whispers of prophecy, sacrifice... and the possibility of something greater than either of them. Bound by a mission that could save or destroy them, Felix and Hyunjin must brave the ocean's deepest secrets-while resisting the pull of a bond neither of them can afford. Because the sea does not grant love freely. And its price may be too high to pay.
The Siren's Call
What happens when a young siren meets a human man? She certainly won't drown him, he's too special. But what would the other sirens say about it? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is my NaNoWriMo 2021 entry. It was, as the challenge goes, written in the span of one month. As such it has not been well revised and is less than ideal. It is likely not fleshed out properly, as when I wrote it I was merely sticking to a story and a timeline so that I could finish in time. Sirens in this world do not drown humans. Instead, they feed off of the adoration from humans that they lure close, and then wipe their memory.Complete
The Siren's Call
➖After her mother's death, seventeen year old Karis tries to drown herself and is mysteriously saved by a boy who assumed she was unconscious. But some things he says don't add up, and he realizes the consequences of his actions, since saving drowning humans is against the law. So he gives her two choices: Never speak a word of what happened and go back to whatever life she despised so much, Or Come with him to an underwater city she never thought existed. After choosing the latter in a risky gamble, both her and the boy might be in for more than they bargained for when they discover the city is under attack. Will they be able to save it and the people in it in time, or will following the boy be a big mistake? After all, not every siren needs a song. ➖ Status: completed (but hopefully there will be a book two) 〰️Based off of a writing prompt 〰️ Text copyright © TylaStone ™️ 2018Complete

"You're not a luna. You're a rogue. Your word means nothing." Maddie says. "Alpha Kairo, I hear you don't have a luna yet. If you ever need a backup, I have experience being trained." Maddie says, fluttering her eyelashes at him. "Training to sleep around until you get a luna ranking? You really are a desperate, pathetic bitch." I say. "Well, at least I'm not going to die alone. Out of all of us, I'm going to find my mate first." Maddie argues. "What makes you think I'm not with someone?" <~~~~~~~~~~> ~Published on March 16, 2021~ ~Completed on January 2, 2022~Complete
