When most people think of the word "fear" the first thing they think of is probably clowns, spiders, and monsters. Not me. I think of change. For my whole life I have lived in a small town in north Carolina. I recently discovered my parents have been dealing with financial issues. For years my grandmother has been insisting on flying me over and letting me live with her since I rarely see her. Each time I would politely decline since I wasn't ready to leave my friends and family and let alone my home. The home that I have lived in for 15 years. My parents main focus has been my 7 year old sister and 3 year old brother. If I leave it would help my mom. I'm one less thing they would need to worry about. So I have do this for them, I have to leave.

I didn't ask to be born into this world, none of us did but we make the best of it. I'm a twenty-five year old single man. Why you may ask? Because I've seen what love can do to a person. It can destroy them. My parent's are amazing but I can still remember the time's my father threatened to kill my mother, left us due to his mental illness. Besides who needs one main women when I can have a different one under me every night, money to blow and fast cars. I'm just enjoying my time until I take my Papes place at the throne. Most nights are spent living it up with my cousins who are my only friends. However there is the one girl that has caught my eye and I don't know why. I first spotted her at a random coffee house I stepped into. Usually I'm very talkative especially when I'm trying to snag a chic but I couldn't utter a word to her. I walked on the nearly empty bus in New York City, which was very rare. It was the middle of the night and this was the last train going around the tracks. It was only me in the car for a few stops. I was hiding my face with a hoodie. I had my headphones in when he walked in. I looked up and our eyes met. He looked familiar and I quickly looked away. He's probably a fan and followed me. I probably met him at a meet and greet, at least that's what I thought. I felt a presence next to me and looked up to see the green/blue eyes that were so familiar. I took one of my earbuds out. "Hi?" I asked. "Hey. If you don't mind me asking, but where are you from?" He asked. "Let me know your name first." I said still cautious. I paused my music and wrapped the earbuds around my phone and put it in my pocket. "Denzel Weller." He said holding out his hand. "Rose Pitcher." I told him taking his hand. He looked so familiar. His name tried to break through a wall in my memories. I looked around us to see that there was one person left on the train besides us. I took my hood off revealing my turquoise hair. I just got it done and that's what I'm going to my hotel from. "So, where are you from?" He asked me. "We say where we're from at the same time." I told him. He nodded. "1.....2.......3!" I said. "LA." We said at the same time. I looked at him surprised. I took a closer look at him. He looked like he was around the same age as me, 21-22. I studied his features. I despise socializing with a passion. It's a fact: I'm terrible at it. Like the useless person I am with everything else except for academics. It makes me wonder if there was ever such a time when I didn't suck at it so badly. Oh yeah, the time when I haven't met my good old friend, anxiety. Along with it's most honorable sidekick, depression. I hate talking- more than necessary. I can't stand being touched- even if it's just a friendly hug. I, Aisha Storm, in general, don't like people. I look at all the men in the group who had their jaws dropped, all except for one, "Touch me one more time, and I'll brake your arm in two." I stand and kick his back so he falls on the concert. "Anyone else?" they stare at me blankly. "Didn't think so." When fuck boy tries to get up, I take my foot and slam him back down. Looking back at the boys, I say, "Later boys." -"Why are you crying?" What, I didn't know I was crying. -"Come on." He offers a hand to help me up. -"Stay away... from me." Settling Slowly
2015 rolled in with a bang, and it did not have the grace to gift me with a social life that everyone in a one hundred year radius would be jealous of or that is even just the talk of the town. Instead I got myself into a complicated relationship which wasn't much talked about, a relationship that I didn't get into is talked about all the time and university is around the figurative corner. That is where you can factor in people I suppose I should call 'fans', the fascination that comes in with cutlery, pots, pans and other formerly boring things. But let us not forget that my parents are finally getting married and Mum can't shop for lace without me wanting to kill her, add in a dose of sleepless nights, invigorating kisses - which have nothing to do with the sleepless nights and a lot to do with nightmares - Harriet not knowing the meaning of the words "you're done" and Ice Ice Baby is still a thing. We're all growing up (except Dad who will still make inappropriate jokes at every inappropriate moment, some to do with what cannot be done when you're wearing a plaster cast) and holidays are being planned though some are less holiday and more a mad dash to find somewhere to live out in the big wide world without our parents.
