Rising water levels bury cities, and humanity has built their towers further and further into the sky. The program wars decide everything: a virtual reality where citizens kill to determine which governments rise above the others, which submerge, and which fall further underwater. A popular MMO relative to these battles is called Arclight Online. This is Reaver's world, his escape from reality, and the only place he feels he belongs. When an unknown player joins his match, he doesn't know what to expect. A seemingly easy victory takes a devastating turn. Soon after the disparaging match, the strange victor confronts him with a proposal that changes his life. But there is one thing this stranger don't know.
