Ashley Blackwell considered herself lucky. Her parents didn't completely hate each other like most divorced couples. Her brother was loud and somewhat obnoxious, but he was also nice and caring. She was practically inseparable with her best friends, Mackenzie and Sydney. She was first chair clarinet for the fifth year in a row. Nothing could possibly go wrong, right? Wrong. What happens when Tri-State comes and her band director signs her up for a duet with the most annoying jerk in school? (Who isn't even fully dedicated to band!) Will Ashley be able to get through the nightmare that is, the first chair percussionist, Nicholas Hunter? What happens when someone from Ashley's past brings in a whole new scoop of drama? Ashley only hopes that she can make it through senior year without too much damage being caused...
Author's Note: If anyone decided to give this a chance, I should warn you. This is my first book so it probably won't be very good. Also, for those of you non-bandies, Tri-State is a music festival where you can do solos, duets, trios, ensembles, you name it. First chair means that they are the best in their section.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
